Welcome to the world of Wireless Intrusion Detection Systems

Hi There

Its been a while, since I updated. We have been getting quite favourable response from our security business. In particular - over the last 2 years we have been installing Wireless IDS or home alarm system. I must say that there's been quite a lot of progress in this area, especially by the company Visonic.

Visonic is a Israeli company that has been recently bought over by Tyco. This attest to its strength.
Visonic products is one of the most robust that we have installed, most important the number of false alarms is low.

There are key advantages to using a wireless system. Most obvious is doing away with the need to run wires to the detectors/sensors. If you are already staying at your house or your old alarm system has just given way, the thought of installing a new alarm system can be quite daunting. Imagine the mess. Running new cables that span out all over your house to every window or door.  Conceal works involving hacking of the walls will pose even greater problems. All this problems goes away with the choice of a wireless alarm system. What's more most installation would only take half a day to complete.

Quite often in considering a wireless system, the question of reliability comes to mind. Visonic's wireless systems overcomes all question of reliability that you may have. Now in its third generation, Visonic's systems runs on its own frequency that is different from your normal wifi frequency and so do not clash or use up the bandwidth. Transmission are encrypted using 128 bits encryption technology and it even uses frequency hopping to deter anyone trying to snoop on its signal. Finally the third generation detectors are bi-directional, capable of receiving instructions as well as reporting status. This means any problems are easily and quickly detected. With its latest innovation, Visonic's detectors can run up to an amazing 5 years without having to change batteries!
